In 13-months long project, thanks to support of ECHO fund Polish Humanitarian Action managed to conduct rapid responses in the realm of water, hygiene and sanitation in most acute emergencies in Jonglei State and during the cholera outbreak in Central Equatoria.
The conflict in South Sudan since December 2013 has devastated lives of majority of South Sudanese people leaving them without access to basic facilities and services. Reoccurring cycles of violence cause massive displacements and put significant stress to existing water facilities. Through our response in most remote locations in Jonglei state boreholes were rehabilitated; women, men, boys and girls were equipped with basic WASH NFIs and trained on good hygiene practices.
