Khartoum, Feb.6 (SUNA)-A leading member of parliament, from the White Nile state, has commended the president decision on reopening of border crossing points with south Sudan, allowing for movement of people and goods.
Nur Eddaim Ahmd al tayyeb, member of the state's Council legislatures and a leader within the Umma Leadership Group Party, said the decision will have positive economic impact on both the Sudan and south Sudan.
However he cautioned officials working in the crossing points to take all the necessary administraive and security, and health measures with the aim of making utmost of the situation and at the same time avoiding any fallout.
He said the move would generate huge economic and trade activities that would reflect positively on the national economy and the economy of his state.
The MP has meanwhile hailed the performance of the local government led by Abdul Hamdeed Musa Kasha which has achieved so many in such a short time not exceeding four months.
The President of the Republic, Omar Bashir, has recently issued a presidential decision ordering the concerned authorizes to reopen borders between the two countries and to take the necessary measures that would allow for the movement of commodities and people.
