DRC continues to build shelters in Block D of Sector 4 to accommodate the approximately 2,000 individuals who were either evicted from the old PoC 3 and 4 or are relocating from Sector 1. Out of a total target of 33 shelters, 32 shelters have been constructed and allocated.
DRC has plans to construct an additional 30 communal shelters in the space made available following the adjustment of the berm in Sector 4. This space is approximately 2,200 square meters of which 70% will be used to construct the additional communal shelters. Each communal shelter has a capacity to accommodate 32 individuals.
